YOUTH ALIVE CONCERT ADELAIDE 2008!!!!

On a fine bright day myself and 50 odd other church goers from Mt Barker set off on an hour bus trip to Adelaide for the Youth Alive Concert at Paradise church. It was one of the most amazing nights of my life! Matt Corby performed though sadly he didn't look like he was enjoying himself all that much. When he sang bitter sweet symphony it was amazing. We then had an incredible motivational speaker from the US who was brilliant and surprisingly so motivational that I got up and went to the back to give my life to Jesus. It was inevitable, it would have happened sooner or later. Any then there was the best part... STELLAR KART! They're a great Christian Pop 'n' Roll band from Arizona. I'd never heard of them before in my life. Last night was beyond incredible! It's not just their music. I could watch them for hours on mute! They were so incredibly entertaining, not to mention... well see for yourself...

My friend Kodee got one of their autographs and gave it to me. I will love her forever! She told me it was the lead guitarist but I'm not exactly sure...

Anyway so as I've said it was a great night.

Breaking Dawn Book Release!

I thought I'd like to write down that I went to The Breaking Dawn book release. It was a great day. I hung out with 2 of my best friends Barbara and her current boyfriend Matt. We went to lunch at the organic cafe (they have wicked brownies) and stayed there for quite a while then went op shopping along Gawler Street (the main street in Mt Barker). Ummm then we went and had a late lunch at Millie's Bakery, I love their custard tarts! When we finally went and bought our books it was just starting to get busy as the release gathering was just starting. It was just party food and fizzy drinks lol with a quiz and a raffle etc. It was packed with teen aged girls lol no surprise there. Everything was moving pretty slowly at first, people had come with small groups of friends and they all looked a little anxious, so I started people talking (sometimes I can be a real loud mouth lol) I asked people who they preferred out of the guys. I almost got shot when I said Jacob was better than Edward though it started people talking, everything kinda chilled out after that. We were all wondering who was going to read the first chapter. Barbara, Matt and me were sitting down chatting and having something to eat (again lol) and then the shop assistant approached me and asked me if I'd like to do the official reading of the first chapter. At first I didn't know what to say but I said I'd love to. I asked her 'why me? Is it because I'm a loud mouth?' she laughed and nodded. It's always nice to be noticed. Anyway so I gave a little speech and began to read what I think is the longest chapter ever written lol. Afterwards we were all hanging around for a while, there were posters but not enough for everyone. Though once I finished reading the chapter they gave me one. So now I have big movie poster on my wall with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. OMG I'd love one with Jacob even though I haven't seen him all grown up yet :(

Right at this moment I'm sitting in a classroom typing this. I'm not actually connected to the net but I'll publish it when I get home which will be in about an hour... YAY!

Mt Barker High School Rock Quiz Night!

I got stuck being the director of the Marketing group, I was originally going to just be on the committee but when it came to voting (though I didn't nominate myself) everyone pointed to me. That was kind of flattering but bloody annoying. There's a lot of responsibility being throw around. They want me to keep delegating to the rest of my group, there's only 2 that show up and one of the girls isin't interested in doing anything and the other girl is organizing sponsorship which is ridiculous because the girl can barely speak a low stutter. So I'm going with her tomorrow to ask the local businesses for anything from gift vouchers to cash donations to things we can use for prizes. We're planning on getting 180 people in to our little hall. So far I think it's going to come together quite well, I'm designing the posters, tickets etc which is a play on the album cover 'Never Mind The bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols'. We've got little under a month to get everything organized, I think we can manage it, it's just moving really slowly at the moment. I think it's going to be great though, the prizes so far are really cool including a Fender Squire electric guitar pack. Apparently even though I'm on the committee I can buy raffle tickets (fingers crossed I get the guitar).

I'm also doing the equivalent to a work experience at Angus & Robertson for one weel, my favorite little book store on Gawler street. It's great opportunity, I'd love to work there. I'm such a book worm and it's a great atmosphere. Very relaxed, I can finally learn how to use a cash register and EFTPOS machine lol. I really hope I can get a job there after this, that'd really make my year.

My best friend Barbara's birthday party is on the same night as the quiz night :S I have to be at the Quiz Night though. Nicole's scary.

I need a new book, I finished all mine :'(

ARRRRRG! NO SLEEP!

My sister had her 15th birthday party yesterday, she goes to an all girls school so of course the house was packed with high pitched teeny-bopper 14 yr olds! I'll stop complaining about that, it was kinda fun. We had a pinata - yes at a 15th birthday party, anyway all these girls were practically tickling the thing! I kept telling them to hit it! They started getting frustrated so asked Sim (Simone) if I could have a shot. I hit the bloody thing so hard it cracked open and threw lollies like a projectile over these screaming girls! It was great! Anyway so the rest of it was pass the pastel and junk food until they all left (thank the lord). Sim had 2 of her friends sleep over, they were watching three of the 'bring it on' movies and sadly enough LIP SYNCING TO THE WHOLE F@#KING THING! This all while I'm trying to sleep in the room right behind the TV. Anyway so that ended at about 1 in the morning, THEN they went to bed... AND GIGGLED AND BITCHED AT THE TOP OF THEIR LUNGS UNTIL ABOUT 3 HOURS AGO (it's 8am). I think they might be a little scared of seeing me when they arise, the only reason they stopped was because I went in there and said "If you guys speak above a whisper for the rest of the night I'm separating the three of you. Just consider that you're the only fucking people in this house so shut up." Simone kinda just nodded with a shocked understanding and the other 2 girls just looked like they shit themselves in their sleeping bags. I will admit I got a kick out of it but they shut up for the rest of the night so all is well. Anywhoooo Matt's gonna be here in... well now so I'll catch ya on the flipside ma sista from anotha mista BOOYAKASHA!

Well Here I Am!

K so I've been having really vivid dreams, loosely based on the teen fiction novel Twilight by Stephenie Meyer but they're NOT about Edward Cullen! I used to live in a country town called Yankalilla in South Australia and that's where I pictured the stories while I was reading them. Anyway, my main character in them is none other than the gorgeous native American teen aged shape shifter himself, Jacob Black. Anyway so I'd been planning to go and travel a few different continents but at this stage I had just woken up and I was in the arms of a tall gorgeous native American guy *swoons* and he's asking me not to leave to see the rest of the world and then I have to make the terrible decision to either stay in the safety of this guys arms or follow my dreams to go on with my plans to see the rest of the world. The dream ends there because I want to tell him I love him and that I want to stay but because I hesitate, he looks at me worried and then I wake up.

I think the reason I started writing this blog was because I love writing and I get so many good ideas out of my dreams but I never finish them. If I have them all documented AND with feedback I might be able to tie some together and possibly come with something - maybe even enough to finish something!
